Campbell University was in need of updating and expanding their football stadium, Barker-Lane Stadium. Prior to the renovation, the stadium only held 2,000 people on temporary grand stands. The project was a joint venture between Little Diversified, the Architect and The Wooten Company. The project added an additional 3,000 seats and a two-story press box to bring the capacity up to a 5,000 person maximum. Working with the University and the project architect, our design team created the site's plans. These plans included site layout, grading, utilities, lighting, landscaping and storm drainage, and the site layout plan included additional parking facilities and associated stormwater management. The expansion to the Stadium was designed with the anticipation of future improvements, since ultimately, Campbell University anticipates the need for a stadium that can hold more than 10,000 fans, as the University continues to ramp up their football program.
